Community
Community engagement has been an important part of the Vopak Victoria Energy Terminal project since the early planning and scoping stages and has continued through the Environmental Effects Statement (EES) investigations, exhibition and public hearing process. Community and stakeholder feedback has informed project design and preparation of the EES.
EES Engagement activities
The EES was exhibited from Thursday 14 May to Friday 26 June 2026 for public comment. During this time, community members had opportunities to learn more about the project, ask questions, meet with the project team, and make a written submission.

Appointed by the Minister for Planning, the Vopak Victoria Energy Terminal Inquiry and Advisory Committee held hearings from 10 August to 31 August 2026. The Committee is now preparing its report, which will consider the exhibited EES documents, submissions received during public exhibition, and the information gathered through the EES Hearing.
